Initial
start-up (Trevi Spa)
- The controls on your spa have
been especially designed so that, once the apparatus has been properly
hooked up to its source (to the ground), programming will take place
by default. The spa will automatically be set at 100 degrees and the
filtration cycle at 1, 2 or 5 consecutive hours, twice a day.
- To make changes in the programming,
refer to the Manufacturer's User's Guide.
STARTING UP THE SPA
|
1. Fill
the spa to the minimum water level
(1 1/2" to 2" above
the cartridge). Before turning on the equipment, make sure there
are no mechanical leaks and that the drainage tap is well closed.

2.Once
this verification has been performed, turn on the spa. If the pump
is operating and the water is circulating well, you can look forward
to your first dip. Nevertheless, sometimes, although the pump is
working, the water circulation will not be apparent. Generally the
control panel will indicate "FLO" if this occurs.

|
3.If
this is the case, evacuate the air which has settled in the pump
as follows: Turn off the power. Locate the control box. The control
box is the box where all the electrical connections are made.
4.Behind
or under the control box you will find the heating element, a silver
cylinder with two black or white rings at each end. Unscrew the
ring closest to the pump by a few turns. Without creating too much
water pressure, allow a little water to flow for approximately 10
seconds.
5.The
air should now have been released. Tighten the ring again and turn
on the spa. To locate the heating element, refer to the diagram
on the following page.
6.Following
this, you must completely drain the spa. The spa was tested for
two hours in the factory and probably some stagnant water is still
in the pipes. To prevent this water from becoming stagnant, you
must fill the spa and pour in two cups of sodium hypochlorite. Then
activate the jets for one hour. Empty the spa by gravity and refill
it.
